About the speaker
Based in Totnes in southern England, Dr. Kalina Borska practises implant dentistry with an emphasis on airway function and overall health. She completed postgraduate training in implantology and oral surgery in Tuscany and holds a diploma in dental sleep medicine. Her clinical interests include temporomandibular disorders, bruxism and sleep apnoea.
Implantoprosthetic protocol with airway consideration
Her presentation introduces an implant and restorative treatment protocol for patients with signs of airway restriction. It considers tooth clenching and grinding, sleep-disordered breathing, upper airway resistance syndrome, obstructive sleep apnoea and temporomandibular disorders. A theoretical overview is followed by discussion of two clinical cases.
